Summer Reading Book Project: Donations Needed!

The Rogers Middle School Media Center would like to make sure every RMS student who wants a book to bring home and read over the summer can do so regardless of their financial situation at home. The Media Center is looking for both business and family partners to make this project happen! If you would like to make a financial donation to help us purchase books for students, please use the following link to donate to our Scholastic Student Donation eWallet. Funds raised will be used to purchase as many books as possible at our upcoming BOGO Book Fair so that students may pick out a book to bring home before summer break!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

We have 3 things planned throughout the month in recognition of this:

  1. Students will receive weekly Schoology messages that share simple ways to take care of their mental health.

  2. We will hold an all-school kindness activity where we spread positivity throughout the school.

  3. We will hold an all-school mental health bingo activity where we encourage students to participate in different activities that promote well-being.

Looking for resources on Mental Health? Check out the ISD 728 Prevention and Safety website.

Preparing Your 8th Grader for High School

Our 8th graders will be RHS students soon!  We have 3 things planned this month to help them prepare:

  1. May 3rd: An optional “Lunch and Learn” opportunity was available to 8th graders on May 3rd.  Students were invited to have lunch with RHS students and engage in a Q&A session about life as an RHS student.

  2. May 8th: The 8th graders had a guidance lesson during science classes on May 8th to help them prepare for high school.

  3. May 17th: There will be an optional “Lunch and Learn” opportunity available to 8th graders on May 17th.  Students can have lunch with Holly Fanning, the RHS College and Career Counselor.  Holly will share information about college and careers, along with helpful tips for students to prepare for the future.

Note from the Health Office

All medications will be sent home with students the final week of school. If you wish to make other arrangements to pick up your student's medications, please contact our LSN directly:
