Rogers Police - Winter Coat Drive: Ends Next Tuesday, December 9

Do you have any winter coats that you no longer need or use that are still in good condition?  If so, please have your RMS student bring the coat to the drop off location outside of Officer Zachman's office.  The Rogers Police Department is collecting winter coats to benefit the Salvation Army.  Thank you!

2nd Quarter Pass Page Buyback - Donations Needed

If a student uses 3 or less of their 18 quarterly passes, they will have the opportunity to turn the remaining ones in for a "pass page buyback" event that will be held on Friday, January 16.  Students will spin a wheel to see what prize they've won. If you are interested in donating any items for this event, please sign up below.  Thank you!

Cardboard Gingerbread House Contest

The Media Center is hosting its annual Cardboard Gingerbread House Contest. All students in grades 5-8 may participate. Students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to work on their houses during Royal Time on select days in December. Students in grade 5 or those who do not wish to work on it at school may work on their houses at home! Entries should be brought to the Media Center by Tuesday, December 16th. Please review the contest entry form and rules before starting! Students may also pick up a copy of the contest rules and entry form from the Media Center.

Library Book Due Dates and Overdue Books

Here at RMS library books are only due once per month, always on the first Tuesday of each month when school is in session. Students are responsible for returning or renewing their books on time. They do receive several reminders via Schoology and the Morning Show leading up to monthly due dates, and students have many opportunities to renew and/or return books during the school day.

As middle schoolers, our communication about library books is primarily handled through the student. Weekly emails are sent to students if they have overdue library books so they should be checking their school emails regularly. When students have lost, damaged, or overdue library books, we expect them to communicate this information home to parents. Students may request we email home or they can call parents to inform them of any issues that need to be taken care of related to library books. Students may not check out any new library books until the overdue book is returned, renewed, or paid for if lost.

Books that are extremely overdue (one month or more overdue) will be considered lost and must be paid for. Students with lost or damaged book fees may not check out any new books until fees have been paid. Lost materials that are found within 30 days of payment will receive a full refund.

All lost book fees may be paid with cash in the RMS Media Center or via Campus Fees in Parent Portal.

Please contact annie.allen@isd728.org if you have any questions.
