You can preview the flyer of the books guaranteed to be at our fair (this is not ALL books, but provides a good idea of the selection).

Binder Request
RMS is in need of new or gently used Case It, 3 inch, 3-ring, zippered binders to support our students. If you wish to donate a binder, please drop them off at RMS anytime during school hours (or your student can bring them to the Administration Office). Thank you so much for your incredible support of all of our RMS students!
Good Morning RMS - You Tube Channel
Did you know that RMS has its own morning show? If you would like to view any of the episodes, please click here: Good Morning RMS! Thank you to Mr. Houselog and his team of his students for producing this fantastic show twice every week!
Classroom Fees
Fees have been assigned for our 6th-8th grade quarter classes. Please remember to check Campus Parent Portal for any fees that your student(s) may have. Any fees that are not paid by the end of the school year will be sent to collections. If you need assistance or have any questions regarding fees, please contact Angie Grotte at 763-241-3550 x2707 or via email: angela.grotte@isd728.
Did you know that fee adjustments for required classroom fees and activities/athletic fees may be available to your student?
- Even though all students will be receiving a free breakfast and a free lunch this year, a fee adjustment/waiver may be available to you; however, you need to apply for this Educational Benefit, APPLY HERE! If you are approved, you will receive a letter of your eligibility. Please forward this to Angie Grotte so we can process your fee adjustment.
7th Grade Field Trip
7th Graders at Rogers Middle School started the year with a field trip to Baker Park Reserve, Camp Venture, and Feed My Starving Children. Our teachers and chaperones reflected each day on how their groups were engaged and excited about the activities. We had so much fun watching them at Baker get more comfortable at the pond with the insects and minnows they caught, hearing the encouragement at the archery field, and getting a little goofy during voyageur life.
Our Venture experience challenged students to work together as a team during ground games. Students were also encouraged to push themselves to try difficult and scary things as they attempted a rope or rock wall. Those who made it to the top experienced a zipline ride. Thank you to our parent volunteers, this trip could not have been possible without you. Feed My Starving Children provided lots of fun, all while giving back.

Choir Day at Target Field
On Saturday, September 19th, members of the RMS 8th Grade Choir participated in Choir Day with the Minnesota Twins, joining hundreds of other students in the singing of our National Anthem prior to the game. It was a great event!
Library Book Due Dates and Overdue Books
Here at RMS library books are only due once per month, always on the first Tuesday of each month when school is in session. Students are responsible for returning or renewing their books on time. They do receive several reminders via Schoology and the Morning Show leading up to monthly due dates, and students have many opportunities to renew and/or return books during the school day.
As middle schoolers, our communication about library books is primarily handled through the student. Weekly emails are sent to students if they have overdue library books so they should be checking their school emails regularly. When students have lost, damaged, or overdue library books, we expect them to communicate this information home to parents. Students may request we email home or they can call parents to inform them of any issues that need to be taken care of related to library books. Students may not check out any new library books until the overdue book is returned, renewed, or paid for if lost.
Books that are extremely overdue (one month or more overdue) will be considered lost and must be paid for. Students with lost or damaged book fees may not check out any new books until fees have been paid. Lost materials that are found within 30 days of payment will receive a full refund.
All lost book fees may be paid with cash in the RMS Media Center or via Campus Fees in Parent Portal. Please contact annie.allen@isd728.org
